AOC has unveiled five new models in the award-winning G2 series, monitor with a 240 Hz refresh rate and 0.5ms / 1ms response time
AOC recently announced the arrival of five new Full HD monitors: three curved models (C27G2ZU, C27G2ZE and C32G2ZE) and two flat models (24G2ZU, 24G2ZE) that will certainly be appreciated by professional players and beyond.
AOC monitor: main features
The new monitors have sizes ranging from 23.8 inches (60.4 cm) and 27 inches (68.6 cm) up to 31.5 inches (80 cm) and that offer breathtaking technical specifications: all share, in fact, the 240 Hz and MPRT refresh rate of the only o, 5 ms (1 ms for the larger 31.5-inch version) and create an atmosphere in perfect union with the game and its world. All models, then, are equipped with FreeSync Premium with support for LFC (Low Framerate Compensation) technology that offers smooth gaming images without interruptions.
These new AOC gaming PCs also take hold of the growing e-sports market that is increasingly becoming mainstream. With more and more players approaching equipment even at a competitive level, AOC goes beyond the required update frequency standard, that is 144 Hz, proposing the fixed 240 Hz which are becoming increasingly common even in laptops.
AOC monitors: graphically dedicated to gaming
The new curved monitors dedicated to competitive gaming with 27-inch and 31.5-inch sizes - i.e. the C27G2ZU, C27G2ZE and C32G2ZE - are equipped with VA panels that offer high viewing fields of 178/178 °, an incredible contrast high equal to 3000: 1 and a wide range of colours (120% sRGB, 89% AdobeRGB and 85% NTSC). The 23.8 ″ variants - therefore the 24G2ZU and 24G2ZE models - are equipped with TN panels, which guarantee maximum reactivity without visual distortions.
AMD FreeSync Premium support also eliminates disruptions thanks to variable refresh rate (VRR) capability. The monitors presented by AOC, however, are not only usable for demanding gaming situations but thanks to their wide colour range and vivid colours combined with very fast reaction times, they make any movement related to RPG, FPS extremely involving. TPS or even racing.
Basic versions and Pro versions: same core, different power
As for the 23.8-inch and 27-inch models, the company offers two variants: a basic version, namely the ZE 24G2ZE, C27G2ZE and C32G2ZE models, as well as the cheapest and the most basic one dedicated to the public interested only in the panel and its technical specifications, and a more performing one, namely the ZU 24G2ZU and C27G2ZU models.
The former has tilting support for basic ergonomic adjustments and can be connected to a VESA support (i.e. a mobile arm for monitors such as the AOC AS110D0) for greater adjustment and flexibility. The latter, however, have the same initial technical specifications and are equipped with the support that offers multiple adjustment options, even in height, and two integrated 2W speakers complete with a 4-port USB 3.2 hub for users who prefer to have a complete package for their gaming stations.
All models, both basic and pro, are equipped with a borderless design on three sides ideal for any type of desk and multi-monitor setup with great aesthetic impact. The Low Blue Light mode and Flicker-Free technology allow players to reduce their concerns about the health of their eyes and their physical position. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 sockets, audio input and output offer a variety of connections seen in a few other competitors.
